Deadbolts, patio bolts, window locks, sliding door locks, digital locks and many other security products are only to be installed, maintained or repaired by a Class 1 Licensed Security Installer. Locksmiths are the only professionals that can hold a Class 1 Security Installers License. Fines start at $15,000 for individuals who do this kind of work for payment without a Security Installers License. This is regulated by the WA Police.
